Terms & Conditions

1. The Check-in and Check-out times are from 3.00 p.m. on the day of arrival and by 10.00 a.m. on the day of departure. Short Let dates and times should be arranged direct with the owner.Weekly lets run fro Saturday to Saturday.

2. The Booking Form is our contract with you. When an enquiry is made a Booking Form and a copy  these Terms and Conditions are sent to you electronically, or if you do not use a computer by First Class Post.  The Booking Form should be filled out, signed and returned, accompanied by a cheque, electronic bank transfer (BACS) or credit card payment for a 10% deposit. These will be acknowledged.The requested dates are held for you while these are in transit.

3.  The full rent is due two weeks before your arrival.  Visitors from abroad or from The Republic of Ireland may choose to pay the full rent either  by bank transfer or credit card, or on arrival, both in pounds sterling.    If the booking is made within two weeks of arrival, the full rent is due with the Booking Form.

4. Cancellation. When cancellation is made 4 weeks or earlier, before the  first day of the let, no further balance is required and only the deposit is forfeit. After 4 weeks the full balance is due.  Visitors are STRONGLY recommended to insure against such a  possibility. When a cancellation is made within 4 weeks of the holiday, Garraway House  Holiday Cottages will make every effort to re-let the cottage through the Internet, in which case the balance of the rent will be returned.

5. The cottage is thoroughly cleaned and serviced between  each  let.  This requires speedy and concentrated effort on the part of our cleaners, and visitors are asked to help us to maintain our high standards by adhering to arrival and departure times.

6. Visitors are asked to leave the cottage in the clean and tidy condition which they found on arrival.  An inventory is kept and checked after each let.  Visitors are asked to report  to the owner any breakages and to pay the cost of replacement of any article damaged or broken during their stay. Please do not replace broken articles yourselves as we keep a stock of matching items. If an estimate is required, damage repairs will be billed at a later date.

7. A dog is welcome, by arrangement, in the Cottage. Please discuss the breed of your dog with the owner. We have friendly Irish Setters of our own, and we do not welcome guarding breeds in the cottage. unless they are on a lead at all times when outside the cottage. At no time may the dog be left in the cottage unattended, nor may it be allowed on sofas, beds or chairs. Please use the poop-a-scoop provided to keep the garden clean.

8. Cider Mill Cottage is a non-smoking cottage. The smoke alarms will be activated if smoking occurs inside.

9.Electricity usage is included in the rent. Domestic kerosene used is calculated at the end of the stay. The C H  boiler is very economic if the radiator thermostats are used sensibly.

10.Travel directions, including a map of How Caple, will be sent with confirmation  of the booking. Be aware that Sat.Nav. does not manage well in our Herefordshire lanes ! Please let us know an approximate time of arrival, so that we can be   sure to be on hand to show you round the cottage.  Groceries  can be ordered via the  Internet, delivered in advance and stored in our own refrigerators /freezer if you give us advance warning.  They will be put in  your cottage, and in the refrigerator if necessary on your check-in day.
